Vroom Vroom, It’s Motorcycle Season!

Motorcycle season is upon us.  As motorcycle enthusiasts ourselves, we thought we would share with you some riding safety tips, upcoming charity ride information, and more!

Safety Tips

Please take caution when out on the road and be sure to follow these motorcycle riding safety tips:

  • Improve your skills by taking a motorcycle safety course. A great one which I can personally vouch for is through the Calgary Safety Council.
  • Know the limits of your motorcycle – do not buy more bike than you can handle and ride within your skill level.
  • Check over your motorcycle to ensure it is in good working order, including the lights, horn, signals, chain, belts, brakes, oil/fuel, and tires.
  • Wear the right gear, including a proper fitted helmet, boots, and bright clothing so you can be seen by other drivers.
  • Avoid riding in bad weather – watch the forecast.
  • Ride defensively and be respectful of other drivers.
  • Leave space to ensure other drivers and riders see you.
